In May 2025, five leading Cypriot companies: ECLIPTIC DEFENCE AND SPACE Ltd., GEOFEM Ltd. , AMADEMA Ltd. , AI ZEROCALIBER Ltd. and CLOUDWATER Ltd., joined forces to establish the Cyprus Space Industry Association (CSIA). Each company brought unique expertise, ranging from satellite systems and AI to remote sensing, GIS and Earth observation. They shared a common goal: to position Cyprus as a credible and influential player in the global space sector.
Recognizing the power of collaboration, the founding companies united to create a common platform that strengthens and expands Cyprus’s growing space ecosystem. The Cyprus Space Industry Association (CSIA) was established to bridge industry, academia and government, accelerate innovation and the commercialization of space technologies and champion Cyprus’s role and influence within the European and international space community.
Through this collaboration, the founding members envisioned a platform that promotes the common interests of its members, supports research and development, nurtures talent, encourages cross-sector partnerships and drives Cyprus toward leadership in space exploration, technology and innovation, demonstrating that even a small nation can achieve global impact in high-tech industries.
Beyond technological advancement, the Cyprus Space Industry Association also aims to deliver tangible socio-economic benefits for the country by promoting high-value job creation, attracting foreign investment, advancing national expertise and contributing to sustainable economic growth driven by innovation and knowledge.
